Day 1 — Arrival, hawkers, supertrees

13:00 MRT from Changi (2 SGD). ≈S$2 with an EZ-link card, 45 min to town. Yes, the world's best airport has a S$2 train.
14:30 City hotel near a MRT interchange, 2 nights (500 SGD). ≈S$250/night around Bugis/Clarke Quay. Singapore is an MRT map wearing a city.
16:30 Maxwell Food Centre (8 SGD). ≈S$6–8 a plate. Tian Tian chicken rice has the queue; Ah Tai (ex-Tian Tian chef) two stalls down has the shorter one and an opinion about it.
18:30 Gardens by the Bay & the light show. Grounds FREE, and so is the Garden Rhapsody show under the Supertrees (19:45 & 20:45 nightly) — lie on the ground under the grove; everyone does.

09:00 Cloud Forest & Flower Dome (53 SGD). ≈S$53 for both conservatories. The indoor waterfall mountain first, before the tour groups summit it.
12:30 Lau Pa Sat satay lunch (10 SGD). ≈S$10. The Victorian iron market hall; the satay street outside fires up properly in the evening but lunch skewers exist.
14:30 Kampong Glam & Haji Lane. Free. The Sultan Mosque's golden dome ringed by murals, perfumers and fabric shops — Singapore's most photogenic three blocks.
17:30 Marina Bay Sands SkyPark or a rooftop bar (32 SGD). Observation deck ≈S$32 — or spend the same on one cocktail at CÉ LA VI and keep the view AND the drink.
20:00 Chilli crab, the ritual (90 SGD). ≈S$80–100 for the crab (market price, they weigh it). Order the fried mantou buns; the sauce is the point.

09:00 Chinatown & Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Free. Temple, wet-market breakfast culture, and the last shophouse streets before the towers.
11:00 Little India. Free. Garlands, gold, banana-leaf lunches — Tekka Centre if the morning ran long.
13:30 Last hawker round: laksa or kaya toast (8 SGD). ≈S$8. Katong laksa if you detour, kaya toast + kopi anywhere if you don't.
15:30 Jewel Changi waterfall before the flight. Free — the 40 m indoor Rain Vortex is INSIDE your departure airport. Land-side, so go before immigration; allow 90 extra minutes.
