Day 1 — Seville, first heat

13:30 Airport bus EA into Seville (€4). ≈€4, 35 min. Trains from Madrid arrive at Santa Justa if you're coming overland (2h40 on the AVE).
15:00 Santa Cruz barrio hotel, 3 nights (€450). ≈€150/night in the old judería's lanes — shade architecture from before air conditioning, which Seville still needs by 14:00.
17:30 Barrio Santa Cruz & the Murillo gardens. Free. Orange trees, hidden plazas, and walls that radiate the day back at you — Seville schedules itself around the sun and so should you.
21:00 First tapas round in Santa Cruz (€25). ≈€25. Dinner starts at 21:00 here, no exceptions made for jet lag. Espinacas con garbanzos and a cold fino to begin.

09:30 Real Alcázar (€15). €15, TIMED — book 2–3 weeks out; same-day tickets functionally don't exist. Mudéjar palaces still used by the royal family; the gardens alone absorb an hour.
13:00 Lunch, then the siesta truce (€20). Menú del día ≈€15–20. Between 14:00 and 17:00 Seville closes and you should too — this is the itinerary's official nap.
17:30 Cathedral & the Giralda (€13). ≈€13. The largest Gothic cathedral on earth, built to make visitors 'think us mad'; the Giralda's 35 ramps (not stairs) were built for a muezzin on horseback.
20:00 Plaza de España at golden hour. Free. The 1929 Expo's half-moon of bridges, boats and tiled provinces — cinema knows it as Naboo.
21:30 Flamenco in Triana (€25). ≈€20–25 for a peña or tablao across the river — Triana raised the art; the small rooms beat the dinner-show barns.

08:45 AVE to Córdoba (€25). ≈€25 return booked ahead, 45 min. Córdoba is Andalusia's best day trip precisely because the AVE makes it one.
10:00 The Mezquita-Catedral (€13). €13 — or FREE 08:30–09:30 Mon–Sat for silent visits. A thousand candy-striped arches with a Renaissance cathedral grown inside them; no photograph prepares you for the depth of the arcade.
12:30 Judería & the flower patios. Free (patio festival in May opens private courtyards). Calleja de las Flores is the postcard; the quieter lanes north of it are the pleasure.
14:00 Salmorejo and flamenquín lunch (€20). Córdoba's thicker, better gazpacho cousin, topped with jamón and egg.
17:30 AVE back to Seville. Return leg of the morning ticket.

09:30 Bus or train Seville → Granada (€25). ≈€25, ~2h45 either way. The bus (ALSA) is direct; trains route via Antequera.
13:00 Albaicín guesthouse, 2 nights (€280). ≈€140/night on the hill facing the Alhambra — carmen gardens, Moorish lanes, and THE view from your breakfast table if you chose well.
15:00 Albaicín wander to Mirador San Nicolás. Free. The Alhambra across the valley with the Sierra Nevada behind — Clinton called it the world's best sunset and for once a politician undersold.
20:30 Granada's free-tapa crawl (€15). ≈€15 total: in Granada every drink STILL comes with a free tapa, and the third round is usually dinner-sized. Calle Elvira and Campo del Príncipe are the circuits.

08:30 Alhambra & Generalife (€19). €19.09, TIMED to the half-hour for the Nasrid Palaces — tickets release ~90 days out and VANISH; book before your flights. Miss the slot by 30 minutes and you do not enter. Go at opening: the Court of the Lions in morning light is the trip's high-water mark.
13:30 Lunch in the Realejo (€20).
15:30 Granada Cathedral & Royal Chapel (€11). ≈€11 for both. Isabella and Ferdinand lie in the chapel they commissioned — the receipts of 1492 in marble.
18:00 Arab baths hour (€35). ≈€35 at a hammam near the Darro — the correct way to end an Alhambra day is the way its builders would have.

09:30 Paseo de los Tristes & the Darro river walk. Free. The Alhambra looms over the narrow river street — Granada's most casually spectacular breakfast backdrop.
11:30 Churros at Plaza Bib-Rambla (€6).
13:30 Airport bus to GRX, or onward (€3). ≈€3, 45 min — or the bus back to Seville/Málaga for wider flight options.
